The team of Green Library was erected in 2010 within K21 library quality development project.
Goal of the project: To put the ecological aspects and sustainable development into focus in the everyday life of the libraries, library networks of the university.
Tasks: To introduce environment protection attitude in a wide sense in the daily operation of the libraries in order to minimize the damage of the environment. To form an acceptable level of environment protection consciousness in the organizational culture.
The team considers the influence of attitude change of the customers of utmost importance in order to minimize their ecological footprint. The people working in the team put a huge emphasis on environment friendly soloutions in the libraries ranging from collecting the waste selectively to any energy saving practice. The overall goal of the team is to preserve our environment for the next generation in the most optimal level.
- Presentation of the Green Library concept on K21 consultation day, 26th October, 2011.
- Cooperation with the association of University Students for Environment Conscious Attitude to collect the waste selectively, to work out the 'green office' concept.
- The team is dedicated to spread the ecological project of 'Live on small foot' .
