Details of registration

The ELTE-CEU Medieval Library is the joint academic collection of the Department of Modern Age and Contemporary World History of the Eötvös Lóránd University (ELTE) and the Medieval Department of the Central European University (CEU), which is open to all teachers and students of ELTE and CEU, as well as external readers.  Use of the library is free of charge. Provided that the ELTE-CEU Library is basically a research library, use of the books of the collection is limited to the reading room. Borrowing is only allowed in exceptional cases and for a limited loan period. Readers with no right to borrow documents may only use those in the reading room.

Borrowing

- Only teachers and students of the Department of Modern Age and Contemporary World History of the Eötvös Loránd University  and the Medieval Department of the Central European University may be granted the right to borrow.

- The general loan period is maximum one week.

- All readers must fill out a personal registration card prior to borrowing.

Provided that they are not in debt with the library:

·         University students may borrow a maximum of 3 volumes at the same time;

The online catalogue of the ELTE-CEU Medieval Library may be accessed at medlib.ceu.hu.

The documents of the library may be photocopied using the photocopying machine in the reading room. The cost of photocopying is HUF 10/page.  The photocopying of certain books may be rejected by the librarian in order to protect their condition. Non-library materials may not be photocopied with the library’s photocopying machine.
